WINE
AND WINE TOURISM MARKETING PROGRAMME
The Cape Wine Academy, in partnership
with Enterprises Dynamics, will
present an exciting three-day
training programme in Wine and
Wine Tourism Marketing from
28 to 30 October 2010 in Stellenbosch.
The marketing of wine is becoming
increasingly competitive worldwide
and the need for enhanced skills
in this area is crucial for
individual producers and the
industry as a whole.
Traditionally the industry has
been characterized by a production
mindset rather than a marketing
orientation. In the wine value
chain, however, excellence is
not only required in viticulture
and viniculture, but also in
the establishment of sought-after
wine brands and their successful
pricing, distribution and communication.
This programme in Wine and Wine
Tourism Marketing therefore
aims to equip participants with
the skills required to function
optimally in competitive local
and international wine markets
of today. This includes the
marketing of wine as a product
and a brand, and its associated
experiential tourism offerings.
The programme will be presented
by Dr. Kosie de Villiers and
Prof. Frikkie Herbst and will
also feature well-known industry
guest speakers and case studies
of successful wine marketing
campaigns and brands. Only a
limited number of delegates
can be accommodated.
